UK closed alpha — real money
One agreement covers UK Buy, Sell and Trade with real money and real cards. Real money and real cards move. Every fee is shown line by line before you pay. This is the full text. You accept it in the app before your first live Buy, Sell or Trade. Deals already agreed keep the version they were agreed under, and each order confirmation names its version.
What it covers
- Buy. Buy an exact listed card with a real card payment.
- Sell. List an exact card you own and get paid after it is delivered.
- Trade. Trade exact cards with real holds and real labels.
The agreement
Accepting lets you buy, sell and trade with real money in the UK closed alpha, on these terms:
- Buy, Sell and Trade use real money and real cards.
- Sellers set their own price, and in a Trade each collector sets the value of the cards they offer. LVLING never judges a price or a trade fair or unfair. Any market reference is optional guidance that names its source, never a valuation.
- Every fee is itemised before you pay. The seller pays a 5% commission on each order’s card total, at least £1.25 per order (one seller, one parcel); the buyer pays buyer protection of 3% of that total plus £0.50 per order, and postage at cost.
- During an introduction period LVLING may set the commission and buyer protection to zero. The fee lines you see before you pay are what is charged, rounded to the nearest penny.
- A sale is agreed when your card is authorised; either side can cancel before the label is bought, which releases the card. A Trade is agreed when the last collector accepts and the app confirms it.
- If you have been charged but the seller never posts, you are entitled to a full refund, including buyer protection and postage. Use your order to cancel or report the problem; if that fails, email info@lvling.io. Your bank determines when the refund appears.
- LVLING never holds your money. Stripe takes the payment straight to the seller’s own Stripe account, and LVLING’s itemised fees come out of that payment.
- Business selling is not open yet. Sellers must declare their status accurately. A genuinely private sale has no statutory change-of-mind cancellation right. If the seller is in fact acting as a business, the applicable consumer rights still apply, whatever they declared.
- If a card does not arrive by its expected date, arrives damaged or is not the listed card, report it from your order. For a delivered parcel, please report within 48 hours of its delivery scan, or 7 days for a sale above £150.
- If your report is upheld, we explain the remedy and any return steps. A full refund includes buyer protection and postage. You may instead expressly accept a stated lower price to keep the card. Silence is never agreement. Keep packaging and photos; check before confirming receipt.
- Report promptly: normally within 48 hours after delivery, or 7 days for sales above £150. These windows and Trade completion do not remove legal rights. Later reports receive human review. If the order or Trade report route is unavailable, email info@lvling.io.
- LVLING buys the tracked label. Pack exactly as the ship screen shows and post at a Post Office using the label’s QR code; a parcel packed or posted another way loses the cover below, not your legal rights.
- A seller’s payout is released no earlier than 72 hours after the carrier’s delivery scan, or 7 days for a sale above £150.
- If a sale parcel is lost or damaged in the post, LVLING pays the seller up to the lower of the price and £150, from its own funds, within 5 working days of approving the report. This is separate from the buyer’s refund and never reduces it.
- Each Trade collector pays a trade fee: 6.5% of the value received, at least 50p, plus postage at cost. It is authorised when the Trade is agreed and charged when its last label is bought. If that has expired, we charge it once to your saved card, without asking again.
- Accepting authorises the incoming cards’ full value, without charging it. You permit replacement on the same card when the Trade binds and renewal before expiry while any parcel you must send lacks a carrier acceptance scan. Your bank may temporarily show both authorisations.
- We release the authorisation when all incoming parcels count as received: you confirm receipt, or 3 days pass after delivery with no report open. After all your outgoing parcels have carrier acceptance scans, we do not renew it; your bank may release it earlier on expiry.
- It is taken only if you never post your parcel and accept the loss yourself, never for more than the value of the cards you kept. Carrier loss is not your fault; disputed facts go to a person’s review, and nothing is taken automatically.
- In a Trade, report a problem if nothing has been posted by the other collector’s ship-by date, if a posted parcel has not arrived, or, once it arrives, before you tap Received. A delivered parcel completes on its own after 3 days without a report.
- If a parcel in a Trade is lost or damaged in the post, or the other side never sent it, LVLING pays the receiving collector up to the lower of its agreed value and £150, from its own funds, within 5 working days of approving the report.
- Cover is capped at £150 a parcel: what the carrier pays and what LVLING pays together never exceed the agreed value or £150. The cap limits this cover only, never your legal rights.
- Cover excludes scratches, damage that was already there, deliberate acts, price changes, and a wrong or counterfeit card. A wrong or counterfeit card goes through a report and a person’s review instead.
- Keep every step inside LVLING and do not exchange contact details.
- Reports are assessed using transaction records, photos, labels and carrier scans. Some eligible non-delivery refunds are processed automatically. Disputed or late reports receive human review. We explain the outcome. For a review or complaint, email info@lvling.io. The Privacy Notice explains how records are used and kept.
- You can withdraw at any time, which stops new buying, listing and trading from your account. It does not cancel orders or trades already agreed, refunds due, or other obligations. Your acceptance history is kept.
- If these terms change, you see the new version and accept it before your next live Buy, Sell or Trade. Deals already agreed keep the terms they were agreed under.
