LVLING

Platform Terms — UK Closed Alpha

LVLING is an invite-only collection, deck, discovery, exchange and marketplace platform for trading card games. The first closed-alpha cohort is UK-only and focused on One Piece collectors. The collection tools are functioning beta features. Live Buy, Sell and Trade use real money and real cards. You can start a live transaction only when that journey is open to your account and you have accepted the UK agreement. Journeys labelled as tests do not charge real money. Unavailable journeys cannot be started. The full agreement is at lvling.io/terms/agreement, readable before you accept. Deals already agreed keep the terms they were agreed under.

1. Who can use it

Members must be 18 or over and invited. Access is personal and non-transferable. UK Buy, Sell and Trade journeys are available only to eligible UK members. Closed-alpha access may change as reliability improves and may be paused or withdrawn. No fee or amount shown in a test journey is charged to you.

Any member may invite a friend with the personal link from Invite a friend. Each link works for seven days. While the alpha is invitation-only, a link admits one person; after public launch, it admits up to five people. The access it gives is personal to each person who joins and cannot be passed on.

2. What the prices are — and are not

Every market guide states whether it comes from completed sales, asking-market observations, another market reference, or comparable printings, together with the printing scope, market, currency, source and freshness shown. Where this card has no accepted numeric reference, the product may instead show a clearly labelled Comparable-printing guide: a display-only range inferred from disclosed comparable evidence. That guide is not a sale or observation of this card, cannot set automatic trade fairness, collateral or a binding commerce price, and can be edited or rejected by the member.

Prices and benchmarks are not valuations, offers, promises of value or resale amount, and are not financial advice. Decisions made on any reference are the member’s own.

3. Collections and conduct

Members record their own collections and wants and are responsible for their accuracy. Fraud, misrepresentation, scraping, abuse of other members, or attempts to manipulate pricing or matching are grounds for removal. There is no user-to-user messaging or off-platform transaction handoff, and no such surface should be impersonated.

4. Buy, Sell and Trade use real money

Buy, Sell and Trade in the UK closed alpha use real money and real cards, on tracked labels that LVLING buys. Every fee is shown line by line before you commit. LVLING never judges a price or a trade fair or unfair. The full rules, with every fee, hold, payout, cover limit and report window, are in the UK closed alpha agreement you accept in the app before your first Buy, Sell or Trade; that agreement is the full text and these terms only summarise it. Anyone can read the full agreement, without an invitation or signing in, at lvling.io/terms/agreement.

LVLING never holds your money. Stripe takes a buyer’s payment straight to the seller’s own Stripe account and LVLING’s itemised fees come out of it. A buyer’s card is authorised when they buy, not charged. It is charged when the seller buys the label, before carrier collection or posting; if the order is cancelled before label purchase, the authorisation is released and nothing is taken. If you have been charged but the seller never posts, you are entitled to a full refund, including buyer protection and postage; if the order’s cancel or report route fails, email info@lvling.io. The protection component is a fee for the cover below, not a stored balance.

Report a problem from the order or the trade promptly: normally within 48 hours after delivery, or 7 days for a sale above £150. These windows and Trade completion do not remove legal rights. Later reports receive human review. Reports are assessed using the transaction record, the label, the carrier scans, any photos and, if needed, the sender’s Post Office receipt and packing photos. Some eligible non-delivery refunds are processed automatically; disputed or late reports receive human review. We explain the outcome. If the order or Trade report route is unavailable, email info@lvling.io. If a parcel is lost or damaged in the post, or the other side never sent it, LVLING pays up to the lower of the agreed value and £150 from its own funds, as the agreement states. Cover excludes scratches, damage that was already there, deliberate acts, price changes, and a wrong or counterfeit card, which goes through a report and a person’s review instead; a parcel packed or posted other than the ship screen shows loses the cover, not your legal rights.

5. Cards, parcels and carrier evidence

Condition and authenticity are member declarations. LVLING runs no verification desk and grades nothing. Sending a counterfeit or materially misdescribed card breaches the applicable transaction rules. A carrier scan proves movement, not contents, condition or authenticity.

LVLING buys a tracked Royal Mail label for every parcel and files the carrier claim itself. Carrier cover depends on the purchased service, the acceptance scan, the rigid-case packing shown on the ship screen and the carrier’s exclusions and deadlines; LVLING’s own promise is section 4.

6. Process integrity

The platform may decline, freeze, void or expire a Trade or Purchase when identity, market, price evidence, inventory, participant, policy or recovery checks fail. Completion records what moved; it does not grade a card or prove authenticity.

7. Liability and future live terms

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

These terms allocate losses for live payments, cards, carriage, refunds, returns and reports only as section 4 states; any wider scope is published in a new version and accepted again.

8. Ending access

Members may stop using the platform at any time and may request account deletion (see the Privacy Notice). LVLING may suspend or remove access for breach of these terms, as the founding terms already provide for campaign entitlements.

9. General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stands. The current version is always at this address; material changes are versioned and re-accepted, never silently substituted.

10. Licensed data suppliers

Prices on a card cite the marketplace the evidence came from, because that is the fact you can go and check. Some of that marketplace data reaches us through licensed data suppliers, credited here: TCGGO (Cardmarket and eBay completed-sale data), JustTCG (TCGplayer data), and Card Hedge (licensed eBay completed-sale receipts and modelled market references).

A supplier is plumbing, not provenance. Naming one on a card would tell you which data we buy, not which market priced the card, so a supplier never appears beside a figure.

The reduced sale receipts show only date, native price, grade, and a verified listing or exact-printing search. They remain separate from modelled values and do not become UK sales without UK sale facts.

11. Invite a friend

A friend who joins from your link, is new to LVLING, is in the UK and is 18 or over gets one month of Plus free. It needs no card, and nothing is charged when it ends. Each account can receive an invited month once, and someone who is already a member gets none.

When rewards for inviters are on: you get one month of Plus for each friend who joins from your link and whose first delivered buy, sale or trade happens within 90 days of joining. The month arrives 30 days after delivery, once everything settled cleanly. A buy or sale counts once the order is delivered and settled: its claim window has closed and 30 days have passed since delivery, with no claim, dispute, refund or case on it. A trade counts once every parcel is delivered, every hold is released and 30 days have passed since the last delivery, with no claim, dispute, default or recovery. Only a trade that pays the LVLING trade fee counts. Circle swaps, meet-ups and trade nights never count.

When rewards for inviters are on: the other side of that buy, sale or trade must be a longer-standing member who is not linked to you. People linked to you are you, anyone you invited, the member who invited you, anyone your friend invited, and anyone who has declared a connection with you or with your friend. Sharing a circle never links two members. A longer-standing member holds a Founding membership, or has an account at least 30 days older than the order or trade and has completed a sale or a fee-paying trade with someone who is not linked to you. One order or trade earns at most one month, and the same buyer, seller or trading partner can count for only one of your friends in any 12 months.

When rewards for inviters are on: we check that your friend, the other side and you did not pay or get paid with the same card or bank account. A person checks the month first if those match or cannot be checked, or if more than five of your friends qualify in seven days. Every check is decided within 14 days, and a month not decided by then is granted. You see only counts: how many friends joined from your links and how many months you earned, never a friend’s name or activity.

Months are Plus service time only. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for anything else, and are not refundable. A month runs to the same date next month; where that month is shorter, it ends on its last day. When rewards for inviters are on: you can hold up to 10 months to come, and further months wait in a queue until earlier ones start. An unused month lapses 24 months after it is added to your months to come. A month is never taken back once earned. If you pay for Plus, each month to come covers one monthly renewal in full. iPhone subscribers receive each month through the App Store, as an offer applied to their subscription (or, where Apple requires, a one-time code). Founding members keep their months to come behind lifetime Plus, and those months run only if lifetime Plus ends. Founding members see how many friends bought, sold or traded.

Never put your link in paid ads, brand-name search ads, or deal or voucher sites. If you post your link publicly, say you get Plus time for it. For Founding members, the Founding Membership Terms allow the personal link from Invite a friend to be shared before LVLING is public; every other confidentiality rule there still applies.

LVLING can close the scheme with notice. Once it is closed, no new links are made and no new invitations are recorded. A month promised while rewards for inviters were on is honoured if your friend qualifies within their 90 days, and months to come stay honoured.

12. Plus membership

When Plus billing opens: Plus costs £7.99 a month and renews monthly until you cancel. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Your statutory cancellation rights apply and are not reduced by these terms. Until Plus billing opens, Plus comes only from a Founding membership, an invited month or months from Invite a friend, and nothing is charged for it.

Questions, complaints, disputes, privacy requests or account deletion: use Account → Help & Support inside LVLING to receive an attributable case ID. A support case does not itself change a transaction, refund, payment, shipment or account. See also the Privacy Notice and, for founding members, the Founding Membership Terms.
